E-Z Weld Wet Weld is a medium bodied, fast set PVC Solvent Cement. This cement is formulated for use on PVC pipes and fittings. It may also be used on small diameter pipes and fittings. A cement offered for wet conditions and or quick pressurization. Making a joint while water is present is very risky. Care must be taken and water from the joining surface should be removed. If moisture is still present on the joining surface, work quickly and a longer cure time should be allowed. When joining large diameter pipe & fittings the use of primers is highly recommended.
Application

Application:
Blue, Medium Body PVC / uPVC cement for use on up to 6" (160 mm)
diameter for Schedule 40 and 4" (110 mm) for Schedule 80. Formulated for
wet conditions also suitable for plumbing, pool and spa industry pressure /
non- pressure applications and electrical conduit. For superior joint use
with E-Z Weld Primer, Purple (No.212) or Clear (No. 211). Never add thinner
or additive. Never use the cement if it is stringy or jelly like.
Always follow instructions on the label.
Application temperature: 32°F to 110°F (0°C to 43°C).
Storage temperature: 45°F to 110°F (7°C to 43°C).
ASTM has developed the following schedule and may be used as a guide
(for relative humidity 60% or less. Sch. 40 size pipe.) eg. a 2” pipe size joint
made at 55°F, 50% Relative Humidity and a test pressure of 100 psi would
require a cure time of 4 hrs.
Certification:
This product is tested, certified and approved by NSF International for use on
drain, waste and potable water systems. It is also listed by the International
Association of Plumbing & Mechanical Ocials (IAPMO). It carries the Uniform
Plumbing Code (UPC) seal. This cement meets ASTM Standard D2564.
Quality Assurance:
Every batch of cement is carefully checked and monitored to assure
consistently high quality standards. Records of every batch are kept. All
ingredients are purchased from approved suppliers. This cement has
passed the following test (performed in accordance with ASTM Std.
D2564):
Lap Shear:
• 250 psi (2.76 Mpa) after 2-hour cure time at 73°F (23°C)
• 500 psi (3.45 Mpa) after 16-hour cure time at 73°F (23°C)
• 900 psi (6.20 Mpa) after 72-hour cure time at 73°F (23°C)
Hydrostatic Burst:
• 400 psi (2.76 Mpa) after 2-hour cure time at 73°F (23°C
